a great new year
wow! it really is over now - 2010 - final day of probably the best year in my lifetime! it's not only because of the big bikes we start to build. it was a year who really opened my eyes in many stages of life. it's an honour to live in such a surrounding and finding so much support. thanks to everyone who made this year so unforgetable to me. special thank you to: renata, dani annaheim, thomas, andrea and lina zahnd, my parents, reto, bruno. thx and see you in 2011 !

most intensive year in my lifetime...
...has an end. a happy end!
this 2010. is not just a year as the ones in the past.
it's the most special, intensive, interesting year i've ever had.
seems that all my other year where boring? wrong!
but i had so many great month and even my broken collarbone
could not stop my motivation for the zaboo inagrual year. that we finally
build our own 29er bikes is more a coincidence rather than a long planned aim, honestly!
my year in monthly peaks:
jan: trans andes challenge with renata - where it all began, first ideas of ZaBu
feb: usa training, back at work - some concepts about ZABU racing, team, etc.
march: the month of good luck and cape epic - got inspired by two enterpreneurs
april: work and ride a lot - thinking about ZABU
may: race and ride and restless - first thoughts about 29ers
june: quit job, ride and race - zabu turns into zaboo, first order placed
july: beautiful summer in switzerland - concept work for zaboo
august: breck epic, best stage race ever in my life! on first zaboo 29er!
sept: getting self employed, had to handle strange but good feeling
oct: zaboo goes into second round - more frames arrived, terra29 and zombie29 is born
nov: broke my collarbone - no stage race in brasil for me - renata goes instead - lot of paper work and set up homepage and ordering much material
dec: zaboo - the ride size. we are ready for 2011
thanks to EVERYONE who helped my in any ways with zaboo and personal belongings.
size matters. zaboo got the ride size - for you.

thinking in green/white
green and white are not only the colours you've seen outside changing day by day... it are also the colours of zaboo. we got some new frames arrivals soon. check our zaboo FB page and let me know what you think of it's design.
i was thinking in green today with a ride with damian perrin. since it was so warm, all the snow melted away. he was racing brasil with renata instead of me. we told each other to give it another try and will be riding possibly a stage race together in 2011. we'll keep you up to date.

almost cross country skiing...

more work than workout
getting self employed brings new, interesting things in your life which you're not going to except. the cycling branch is a hard but great branch of trade. the 29er branch is even more special, since the developer and distributors are not completely ready for this but the market is!
so it's a good time, getting the zaboo business started and we will be ready for 2011.
after my collarbone surgery i was not able to train right for 3 weeks and now i got a little cold, so it's a hard time to get back in shape, since winter is here so early. but the good thing is, that i will be able to cross country ski in a week, this is probably the hardest but best workout for wintertime!
i will start into 2011 season with trans andes challenge and cape epic. pretty heavy but great races!
